To Shop In Santarém
Santarém somehow has large malls, like the O Centro W Shopping complex, and local boutiques down cobbled lanes that are all within walking distance from the town center. While many of the big name brands can be found in the shopping centers, getting lost following your inspiration in the old town will lead you to some unique fashion finds. Places like the VIP Boutique and Girafa As Bolinhas are such fun to browse that you will be hard pressed to leave empty handed.
Santarém is unique in its aggressive festival schedule. The June Agricultural Festival promises to be the best time to catch a bullfight and horse races if you wish. There are at least four major festivals each year (and dozens more in nearby towns) so be sure to check the calendar and see if your holiday just happens to coincide.
