Description
Inside the apartment you have a lounge and dining area with real fireplace and an open plan kitchen. The owner has provided a TV with cable channels, DVD player, CD player and free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped including the all important dish washer! The large family bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, basin and bidet.
You have a view over the ocean and the rest of the complex has an array of free activities on-site such as 2 further large pools, 2 child pools, tennis court, mini-golf, squash court, and games room. The complex also offers free Wi-Fi in the communal areas. You'll also find communal sun loungers for use by guests at all 3 pools.
São Martinho is a beautiful small village, with a shell shaped bay. Due to its particular shape, the bay is the ideal beach for families with small children, as the strong sea current characteristic of the Atlantic ocean is not present here.
Throughout the sea front there are lovely restaurants, where you
can delight yourself with delicious Portuguese food, nice cafés and
bars.
Just a stroll away along the coast line and you'll find Salir do
Porto River beach, which has the river streaming to the ocean and
is also perfect for families due to its calm waters.

We stayed at the Beacon aprt for 2 weeks in August with 2 children and no car. The apartment was even better than we expected, an en-suite which we didn't realise we had and it was incredibly spacious, perfect for the 4 of us. Kitchen well equipped with everything you would need. Outside the apartment was a beautiful little garden which was perfect for the kids to go an play and the nearest pool was a few metres away. The view from the patio down to the beach was amazing much more than shown in the photos. A quite complex which suited us perfectly and never an issue getting a sunbed by the pool. We didn't hire a car so the walk up and down to the beach was tiring, its not far but a couple of steep parts. However it did help to burn of the calories from the ice cream! Just above the apartment is the highest point in the bay and the view is beautiful, there is also the little land train from the beach that goes to the top so on occasion with have used this and got off at the top to walk to the apartment. Filipe and his wife meet us on arrival and were lovely, we had 1 small issue later on in the week but a quick message to him and he came out to use straight away. Always a wave and a smile if we saw them on the complex. We used Nelson's taxi service for airport transfer, who very helpful and on time. In the bay we Luis taxi service from the supermarket and again really helpful.
