Description

Charming 2 story, 2 bedroom rustic stone house with private terrace, ideally located for those that wish to explore the vast historical and cultural richness of Sintra and also the beauties of the Lisbon Coast.
Entering the property, you have an open plan space concept with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need to cater for your family and friends, including a dishwasher, making things very practical during your stay. The lounge area has a TV and sofa and the dining area can seat 5 guests. Still on the ground floor there is a bathroom with a large shower. Please note that you need to go outside the house to access the bathroom, it is located right next to the main entrance door.
Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms. Both are bright rooms, one has a double bed and the other has a single bed and bunk beds, allowing the property to accommodate up to 5 guests. If you bring a baby, the owner will kindly provide a travel cot and highchair for your use.
The whole property has been recently renovated, however keeping its character with its stone walls and wood beams in the living area ceiling. The owner's choice for rustic decor contributes in providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere and a truly picturesque experience. 
The property is located only 9 km from Sintra, with its astonishing palaces, castles and monasteries, but not only. Sintra has so much to offer that it will be difficult to choose where to go first. Besides the unique and amazing architecture, you will be amazed with the Natural Park, with its breathtaking grounds, forest and lakes. If you enjoy equestrian culture, the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art is a must stop, where you can watch beautiful presentations and put your eyes on one of the most praised horse breeds of the world, the Lusitano.
In addition to the vast myriad of treasures that Sintra has to offer its visitors, you will be in easy access to some of the best surfing (and other water sports) beaches of the Lisbon Coast, such as the famous and well known beach of Ericeira. The nearest beach to the property is Praia das Maças, with a spectacular landscape and although the waves can be sometimes powerful here, there is no need to worry, as there is a waterpark right on the beach with a pool, slides and diving boards.  
In the village itself where the property is located, Colares, you have a couple of nice restaurants (the closest one being only 20 metres away), a pub where they brew their own beer , an historic winery and a supermarket.
