Palm Tree - Sea view 3 bedroom apartment (sleeps 8) in Sao Martinho Do Porto, with pool, 65 metres to beach

Je recommande à tous C'est la deuxième fois que je loue l' appartement nous étions 10 et est toujours aussi bien. Évidemment, la prochaine fois que je reviens au Portugal, je réserve de nouveau. Il y a vraiment tous les ustensiles pour cuisiner pour une famille nombreuse et l'emplacement est idéal.

 

The location/location and space with the beautiful view was perfect. The way down was closed and practical.  In the bedroom of the street side the bed / mattress was very bad. There was also a musty smell in that room.

 

Localização fantástica e o apartamento muito bem equipado.  Apenas o colchão do segundo quarto de casal a precisar de ser trocado.

Lo que mas nos gusto fue las vistas desde la terraza. Piscina. Equipamiento cocina.

Bonito dúplex ubicado a 200 metros de la playa y a 300 del casco viejo de Sao Martinho. Buenos accesos a todos los sitios y muy bien equipada la cocina y el comedor. Con toda seguridad volveremos.

Todas as condições são incríveis ! Muito bem localizada e todas a condições são perfeitas ! Para repetir sem dúvida.

O espaço é muito bom ! A casa tem imensas comodidades excelente para ir em família ou amigos.  O estacionamento deixa muito a desejar. E existem taxas que tem de se pagar ao alojamento que o Booking não informa.

Excedeu todas as nossas expectativas!

 

Great location, good value.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment and Sao Martinho do Porto. The apartment was clean, excellent location, and perfect for large families. We have no issues or problems and will book again in the future. Staff were very helpful including Laura who helped us locate and transport lost baggage from the Airport for us.

 

 

We have stayed in this apartment twice now. It is very spacious. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well kept. Plenty of hot water/ towels. Extremely well equipped kitchen. You have views of the pool and the whole bay and can walk to all bars etc.Its very safe for our children with access to the pool with lifeguard. The pool is in the sunshine, never crowded and very warm. The complex is fairly quiet. You can walk to the supermarket and butchers in 2 minutes. Do not park your car in the garage. It is near impossible to get it out again if its large. We had to reverse out and then took at least 1 hour. We parked on the road just behind the apartment every day without any problems.

O apartamento dispunha de todas as condições de conforto, espaçoso e limpo. O acesso à piscina é um "plus" assim como a vista da varanda sobre a praia.

 

 

O que mais gostamos foi a localização e proximidade á praia e a piscina excecional.

The location, the line of sight for the bay, the good wifi connection is what we liked the most.

El sitio en el que está es perfecto, tranquilo y con vistas a toda la bahía. El apartamento es fantástico, amplio, con terraza en dos de los tres dormitorios, tres servicios y una profusión de accesorios, menaje y electrodomésticos como nunca he tenido en un apartamento de alquiler, todo nuevo, limpio y a mano...Verdaderamente algo extraordinario.

Agradável. Muito bem situado.

A localização era excelente, muito central e perto da praia. A piscina muito limpa e com ótimas condições. A casa tem ótimas condições e adequada para família numerosas. Para voltar!

Esta foi a casa melhor equipada e melhor localizada em que estivemos. A localização é excelente, com uma vista deslumbrante. A casa é enorme e super bem equipada: não falta nada, mas mesmo nada! A casa pertence ao Anthony, mas é gerida - pelo que entendi - por duas empresas: a que coloca o anúncio e que gere toda a comunicação inicial e de reserva e a empresa local que entrega as chaves e a quem podemos recorrer se existir algum constrangimento com a casa. Houve duas situações que careceram de atenção, mas sentimos que houve alguma necessidade de recorrer ao dono para que as mesmas fossem resolvidas. Mas FORAM RESOLVIDAS. Aliás, o Anthony foi sempre estupendo em querer proporcionar a melhor experiência possível. Um pequeno reparo: os lençóis e roupas de banho pedem substituição; além disso, as toalhas pareceram-me escassas para a quantidade de pessoas (éramos 6 adultos e 2 crianças); mas valeu a máquina de lavar e secar! Dois pequenos reparos em relação ao anúncio: este dizia que a casa tem garagem - e tem -, mas não nos foi fornecida chave da mesma e esta estava ocupada com equipamento da casa. No entanto, o Anthony informou que poderia ser utilizada, bastando que afastássemos o equipamento da casa e abríssemos a porta por dentro. Ora se não é, à partida, suposto que os hóspedes utilizem a garagem, sugiro que retirem essa informação do anúncio, uma vez que no nosso caso, por exemplo, esse fator foi crucial para a escolha da casa. Outra situação é a informação de que só podem estar 5 pessoas de cada casa ao mesmo tempo na piscina. Essa informação foi prestada, é certo, mas apenas após a reserva ser efetuada, não estando visível no anúncio inicial (pelo menos eu não encontrei). Foi uma situação de fácil gestão da nossa parte, mas a verdade é que no início, ao sermos confrontados com a informação, é criado algum constrangimento. Finalmente: parabéns ao Anthony pela hospitalidade e parabéns pela casa maravilhosa que possui, das melhores onde já estive. Tem excelentes condições, vista maravilhosa e uma piscina que fez as nossas delícias.

A estadia, foi sem dúvida excelente. Uma ótima localização. O apartamento preparado com tudo para uma estadia em família. Fomos muito bem recebidos. Queremos repetir...

 

Gostámos de tudo, excelente casa para passar uns dias tranquilos com a familia ou amigos, super bem equipada o que dá para cozinhar sem problemas, com maquina de loiça e roupa além de todos os eletrodomesticos necessarios. O fácil acesso à praia a pé, a piscina para graudos e miudos. Recomendo muito, adorámos e voltaremos com certeza.

We loved our time at the apartment - the balcony was my favourite part spending the evening with a glass of wine listening to the waves and looking over the bay. Beds were super comfy and the apartment was so spacious and had everything you could need for your stay. We loved how close it was to everything - 1 min walk to the beach and a couple of minutes stroll to the town centre. We had a car and did loads of exploring. The caves and water park , Lisbon Zoo and a day in Obidos (you have to try a Ginja liqueur when you are there !) were our favourites. Loads of great restaurants with Portobello being our favourite and the Hamburguria a close 2nd. The beach was very busy at the weekend and the sea was cold but we still loved it there and the kids adored the giant inflatable obstacle course and hiring a pedalo. and we walked to the giant sand dune one day. The pool was fantastic and never busy - loved being able to watch the kids from the balcony. Big shout out to Pablo who was the pool attendant. We had lots of lovely chats with him and he was great at making sure the kids were safe and no one was causing any problems in the pool. Only a couple of minor criticisms, the shower in the main bedroom was terrible, barely any pressure and hot and cold so we all used the main bathroom. The radiator in the lounge area was blasting out each morning but the control was broken so we couldn't turn it off. Definitely didn't need heating mid summer ! But the biggest moan was about the office where you collect the keys. Very unfriendly man handed the keys over, asked for £25 euros for the pool bands (which wasn't advised before hand ) so had to run around looking for cash to pay him. There was no one to take us there so we just found our own way and worked out how to get in and when I took the keys and pool bands back not even a "how was your holiday?" - just advised me he had no cash to give me the £25 deposit back and got very grumpy when I said I wasn't going until he had it. Just seemed rude and not friendly at all but this is no reflection on the owners as they have been lovely on every occasion I have spoken to them. We would 100 % recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in the area - i would say its got the best spot, best pool and best view of any accommodation in the area and with a car there is so much to appreciate in this area of Portugal.

A casa excedeu as expectativas. Com toda a comodidade necessária para uns dias de descanso. Muito bem localizada e excelente para uma estadia em família/amigos. Recomendo e voltarei certamente!

 

La posizione era molto buona, due passi dal mare, con bar, ristoranti, farmacia a pochi metri di distanza, supermercato e mercato comunale molto vicini, raggiungibili anche a piedi con una breve passeggiata. L'appartamento era fornito di tutto quanto serve, cucina ben equipaggiata con lavastoviglie e lavatrice. Comodo il bagno di servizio del piano terra. Il tronco di palma impediva parzialmente la vista del mare, non si capisce perché non abbiano tagliato il tronco raso terra invece di lasciare un moncone ingombrante, viste le dimensione a un metro e mezzo di altezza. La doccia della camera suite era inutilizzabile in quanto non arrivava l'acqua calda, comunque si poteva usare la vasca-doccia dell'altro bagno.

Wow what a gorgeous apartment! We all had such a brilliant time staying at Palm-tree! So well equipped for a large family with so much space and areas to sit or eat together! kids loved having netflix, garden space and large pool, with a beach view from all levels! The quaint village is on the door step, with shops and restaurants in abundance that catered for all. Home made pizza, pasta, kebabs, steaks, fish, meats, currys and more to choose from! Fresh fruit, veg, fish and bread at market square was worth a regular visit from the lift! The beach was clean, safe with many water sports for the children and so picturesque day and night! We would 100% stay again! Thank you!

A very large apartment. Very well equipped. The location is perfect. Swimming pool next to the building. Very close to the ocean. Sao Marthimo is a peaceful and beautiful place. My children cried as we had to enter. The family and friends were happy there.

We stayed in the Palm tree apartment for just under 2 weeks. We took my mum and dad as well as my sister and her family. The apartment was spacious, modern and perfect for our big family. It made our holiday perfect and the location next to the pool was the icing on the cake. We loved this apartment so much that we are returning next April. A fantastic place to stay and I can not recommend it highly enough.

O que mais agradou foi a piscina e proximidade da marginal. O que menos agradou foi o acesso à piscina.

As a family of six our stay was perfect and we fell in love with Sao Martinho do Porto!

Absolut positiv sind die Ausstattung der Küche, die wirklich keine Wünsche offen lässt, der Blick auf die Bucht, die Matratzen der Betten und der Pool! Wir waren zu viert da und haben abends viele Stunden mit dem Blick auf das Meer genossen. Perfekt ist auch die Lage der Wohnung bezogen auf die Infrastruktur: Einkaufsladen , Brot und nicht zuletzt das unmittelbar unter der Anlage gelegene Cafe Palmeira mit der Möglichkeit zu Galao und selbst gebackenen Kuchen (Sehr lecker vor allem der Rüblikuchen!). Gut war auch die unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe, da die Verwalter in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wohnung erreichbar sind. Was gegen Ende der Saison passieren kann: das Schloss der Haupttüre war defekt, so dass wir nur über den Terrasseneingang in die Wohnung kamen und leider fiel auch die eine Dusche aus.

Sao Martinho is a fabulous place for a family holiday, far away from the chaos and unrelenting bustle of the Algarve. We've now holidayed twice at Palm Tree, which is a lovely, spacious, well appointed apartment, just two minutes to the gorgeous beachfront, rightly viewed as one of Portugals best beaches. Palm Tree is conveniently located in the oldest part of town, very close to the romantic cobbled old square with its open air restaurants and bars. The towns market is a gentle five minute stroll away, and there is always ample off street parking nearby. We enjoyed the communal pool, which is spotlessly clean, and the benefit of three, well sized bedrooms, two of which share a balcony with wonderful views of the bay. Sao Marthino is still a relatively unknown entity to holidaymakers. If you do make a good decision and come to the 'Silver Coast', you won't be disappointed with Palm Tree!

We stayed for a week at the end of September and couldn't fault the holiday. The apartment is very well equipped,clean, modern and light and airy. The resort was lovely with a beautiful beach in a sheltered bay. The people are friendly and the local market was amazing. There are plenty of bars and restaurants at very reasonable prices. We will definitely return.

Recently we have passed a week in this lovely apartment. Once you know the city of Sao Martinho you instantly know you are on the best spot. The views are amazing. But inside the apartment is great too. 32 inch Tv Plasma(in Portugal it´s difficult to see that), leather sofas, american cuisine with absolutely everything you could think of, the bed of the en-suite is a dream and all the facilities do your stay a very pleasant experience. Outisde Sao Martinho is the most beatiful little town of the area(to me, even more than Nazaré). It´s the perfect place to do trips and see the World Heritage Monuments of the Silver Coast (so many, but Batalha it´s terrific), plus you are an hour trip to Lisbon, Coimbra, Tomar(amazing refugee of the Templars). We actually stayed in winter, but if we would have gone in summer, probably we would never go out. Right in front of the apartment door you have a pool, and rigth down the beach (and this beach is one of the most beatiful you´ll ever see). If this wasn´t enough the price it´s more than reasonable. I would highly recommend this aparment for the vacations of your life. Thanks to Antony for your time and advices, and to Ralf( great help when we needed him).

The apartment was great for our group of three small families. There were everything that was promised and more! Everything was near and the town was beautiful. Only negative thing was that there is a ten day festival in June and the stage was just down from the apartment. So there was really loud music every night until 2 am. Otherwise everything was just perfect and we has a lovely time!

We initially booked the apartment for one week,but ended up staying for two weeks due to the Iceland volcano and all three of us felt very lucky to have been able to enjoy the fabulous apartment and Sao Martinho for the extra week. The situation of the apartment within Sao Martinho could not be bettered being within 5 to 10 minutes walking of all the amenities but also situated to benefit from the magnificent views of the bay from two of the bedrooms and both balconies. The apartment itself could not be faulted with all requirements taken care of with a great attention to detail. Sao Martinho has a great selection of restaurants to suit both price and style and if fish is a preferred option then the opportunities are endless. If you have a car there are many restaurants of interest within a 15 minute drive of the town. With our extended stay it did give us an opportunity to explore the surrounding area and with the benefit of the immaculate Portuguese road system distance was not a problem. Areas we visited and would recommend are Nazare,Obidos(both the walled mediaeval town and the lagoon),Fatima , Sintra and Tomar to quote but a few. Many thanks Antony. Over the years Pat and I have stayed in a variety of accommodation around the world but for comfort and ' a feeling of home' your appartment is very high on our ranking list. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday! The apartment was absolutely perfect - we couldn't believe how much equipment there was for our 10-month-old baby and 3 other children (aged 14, 12 and 9 years) - the owners really have thought of everything! Everyone had a great time, and San Martinho is lovely - very unspoilt, & we found the Portuguese people extremely friendly. We didn't take a car & there was plenty to do without one - fantastic walks around the bay to the rocks on the other side, & of course the lovely big pool (a bit cold as unheated, but definitely warm enough to swim, & the children spent most days in it, for hours at a time!), some nice restaurants (the Italian "Portobello" was great) and bars, a wonderful clean sandy beach and a lovely playground for the children, really close to the apartment. The view from the property is beautiful - lovely and relaxing to sit with a book & drink on the upstairs balcony. We tried to catch a bus one day (to Obidos, a local mediaeval town) but it didn't arrive - apparently a very unusual occurrence, but as the weather was so hot we were more than happy to sit by the bay with a cold beer/ice creams instead! The rooms were all huge & beds were extremely comfortable - our super-king with memory foam mattress was especially luxurious. Also provided were a great selection of DVDs & books to suit everyone, loads of board games, beach toys, & a fantastic array of basic cooking items, including even pasta, sauces & olive oil for emergencies! Everywhere was beautifully clean, & the owners and Portuguese estate agents extremely helpful and friendly. I can't recommend this property highly enough & hope to be going back before too long - definitely the nicest self-catering apartment/villa we've stayed in! Many thanks!!! Camilla & John

Very spacious, light, comfortable and modern apartment, a stone's throw from the beach and the village centre but set in sufficient grounds to be private. Excellent standard of fixtures & fittings - especially well-equipped kitchen, which is a rarity in rental properties. Stunning panoramic views from the bedroom balconies. Terrific location away from the "package" crowds but not isolated. Plenty to do within easy reach, and will certainly be going back - Highly recommended

We stayed there for a week in June 2008 and had a lovely time. The apartment itself is enormous and very clean. I particularly liked the space downstairs with a big window/worktop connecting the kitchen onto the lounge area which meant we could socialise while cooking (the local wine is also pretty good!). All the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious - loads of room for the kids to run around. Two of the bedrooms have balconies with fantastic views over the pool and down over the bay. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and also had all the practical things we needed with a young family - high chair, plastic cups and bowls, kitchen with everything you could think of. It's in an ideal position, on a hill just 2-3 mins walk above the sea front which I should imagine gets very busy in the summer months and high enough to make the most of the view. The private swimming pool is lovely with big palm trees and lots of grass to sit on. The surrounding is good for exploring - great scenery, some decent walks (there's a great raised board walk over the dunes and round the bay), fantastic seafood restaurants and bars. If you hire a car or take the train, there are plenty of places to visit nearby. Definitely one of the most relaxing holidays we've had - I can thoroughly recommend it and we'll certainly be going back ourselves!
