This is a wonderful 3-bedroom ‘maison de plain pied’ (single storey property) with south facing garden in the small sleepy village of Curzon, just 20 mins drive from La Tranche sur Mer. A place to relax in rural living, set back from the main road through the village, yet also benefitting from easy access to the long sandy beaches of the Vendee region.
Although a sleepy place there is a fantastic gastronomic restaurant just 1.5 kms away, a lovely walk through quiet country lanes. Try the goats cheese starter or honey duck main – lovely. Also a mobile bakery visits Curzon itself most days.
The property has an open plan lounge with patio doors and electric shutters, Satellite TV, DVD player, radio/cassette/cd player, electric coal effect fire, air cooler, corner settee, dining area which seats 6 and a well-equipped kitchen including washing machine.
There are three double bedrooms (each with a double bed), wooden shutters to bedroom three and manually operated shutters to bedrooms 1 & 2 which also have french doors to the rear patio and garden.
The garden has glass table and 6 chairs, parasol, 2 loungers, 1 giant lounger for 2 people and a small electric BBQ. The South facing garden is tiered on two levels and is in an elevated position benefitting from a great view of the valley. There is off-street parking for 2 cars at the front of the property.
The Vendee benefits from an average of 280 days of sunshine per year. The nearest beach at La Tranche sur Mer is also a leading centre for windsurfing and there are regular saling regattas.
