This is an exclusive 3 bedroom duplex apartment in a traditional chalet style building which is newly available to rent and is a genuine ski-out, ski-in apartment as it faces onto the slopes and is adjacent to a nursery slope served by a free drag lift. The property can sleep 7 with family accommodation over 2 floors including two bathrooms. Ski Montalbert is in the heart of the Paradiski (La Plagne Ski area). Nestled in the forest at 1350 meters, Montalbert is a traditional village linked to over 450km of marked ski runs. With more than a dozen restaurants and bars, ski hire shops, supermarkets, ski school and nursery Montalbert has it all. ‘Blanc’ is a chalet style building located centrally in the village at the foot of the slopes. In fact the location is so good that all the amenities are on the door step including ski hire, restaurants and the ski school.
Bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed and balcony- sleeps 2.
Bedroom 2 has 1 bunk bed and a single bed -sleeps 3.
Bedroom 3 has 1 single bed which can become a double -sleeps 1 or 2 depending on how you arrange the bed.
There is an additional sofa bed in the lounge that can sleep 2.
Please note that the maximum number of guests allowed is 7. We can include a cot on request.
Tourist information about Montalbert, La Plagne, France
At 1350 metres Montalbert is an altitude friendly French ski and holiday resort ‘La Plagne’ with dramatic scenery and everything you would expect for you and your family to enjoy a great holiday away (summer or winter). Most famous as a skiing location with its fabulous snow cannons all the way down to the village where you can rent ski equipment and clothing from the many ski shops.
There is a local ski school ‘ESF’ which runs lessons for all abilities and ages (including snow boarding). You’ll be able to use the free ‘drag’ lift which runs close to the apartment and also a two man chair and there are plenty of restaurants and bars and a supermarket for when the ski’s come off.
There are many activities arranged in the village during the summer months plus there is walking, mountain biking, white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding and swimming – with swimming being both at the resort itself and at a nice lake in the Valley.
Plus there are plenty of nice places to visit nearby such as Lyon, Grenoble, Chambery, Annecy and Albertville which are all within 2 hours drive. It’s also only 3.5 hours to the Italian Lakes though Petit St Bernard Pass which is a lovely drive.
Summer temperatures are around 25 degrees (often higher).
Fly to Chambery Airport or Lyon or Grenoble. Chambery is the closest at 109kms (65 miles).
You can get your Ski passes – from the Maison in the village. We suggest you get La Plagne passes only – you can always add a day at Les Arcs afterwards.
Routes to/From Plagne Centre – quickest way up is via the first 2 chairlifts and then ski down to the La Roche lift. On the way back. the best route is through Plagne 1800 and then up the 1800 chairlift (near the restaurant in 18:00) and then down to the Adrets lift (shuts around 17:00)
