Absolutely. If you own your own holiday home and want to start to earn an income from it then we can help. We currently market properties in Sao Martinho Do Porto, Portugal, Cyprus, France, UK and Sicily and our portfolio is growing worldwide.

What makes you different?

Unlike other marketing agencies we don’t rely on advertising your property on just one site. We also advertise your property on at least 2 of the most popular holiday rental sites in the world. We choose these based on getting you the highest online rankings possible.  The marketing costs associated with this can be cost prohibitive for owners so we pay for your advertising ourselves.  You only pay us when we make a booking for you, showing how confident we are of our model.

That means you don’t owe us anything until we start finding guests for you (and paying you). It also means you benefit from huge marketing budgets that support these competitive third party sites. www.holiday-rentals.com is an example of where your advert would be placed free of charge to you.

All of our advertising is online and via recommendation so we don’t need a physical office in each country. So no matter where your property is please do get in touch, we can help. We work alongside your existing local cleaning and key changing company to offer a seamless experience for your guests.

We ensure that we build up specialism in understanding your local holiday area. For example we are now the largest holiday home marketing agency for owner properties in Sao Martinho Do Porto, Portugal.  We dedicate time to ensure we become experts in many different holiday locations. 

We like to ensure the properties we take on are of a high standard. This means that we only take on properties that are well maintained, well located and well equipped. We want to be certain that our guests have an excellent experience during their stay and as such we need to be sure that standards are high in the accommodation that we are offering. Our typical guests are a families of 4-10 looking for villas, apartments and chalets willing to spend between £300 and £2500 for a weeks rental.

What do you charge?

We charge a competitive commission of 20% of the rental price for any booking we make for you. There are no other fees upfront or otherwise. You can leave us at any time, but we work hard to ensure you don’t want to. We have grown entirely by reputation to date.

What would you do for us?

We would offer you the following:

Property details written and prices as discussed and agreed with you annually

Marketing adverts written and placed on leading 3rd party holiday rental sites each year plus our own site (www.rental-retreats.co.uk).

A fast response to enquiries that come through for your property. We often take bookings at 11.00pm at night – we believe prompt is best.

We don’t keep you in the dark – we send a booking confirmation to you, your management company and your guest once a verbal booking is taken. We collect payment of a deposit from your guests within a week and final payment 5 weeks before the holiday. We then forward payment to yourselves via electronic transfer.

We formulate and send a holiday information pack to your guests.

We maintain a database of previous guests from all properties for newsletters from Rental-Retreats featuring your property.

Can’t I do this myself?

Yes you can.

However it’s worth thinking about whether you have the time to commit to this. For example you are three times more likely to secure a booking if you respond within 3 hours. Could you do this?  In terms of your time we estimate that you would need to dedicate 2-3 working weeks in Year 1 and then at least one working week each subsequent year. And, you would still need to respond to those enquiries when you are on holiday. If you have a full time career it could be difficult.

You will need to pay for the 3rd party rental sites yourself costing you around £550 with no guarantee of rental bookings.  

By using our services you benefit from our database of holiday guests who trust us to find new places for them to visit each year. They all receive our annual newsletter.

Other credentials

We are a family business. I  Antony Masters  run the day-to-day operations. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and a Masters Degree in Computing and have let my own properties for 10 years in Oxford, Glasgow and now Portugal where I own 4 self-catering properties personally.

I have also developed properties for re-sale in the past. My wife has a long history in Marketing which helps us increase the exposure of our customer’s properties with digital media techniques such as pay per click with Google and natural search engine rankings.
